Allisandra Kummer is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the CEPH Lab. She received her bachelor’s degrees in biology and public health from Marian University, and her MPH and PhD in epidemiology from Indiana University. Her research focuses on investigating the underlying mechanisms driving pathogen transmission for respiratory infectious diseases and mosquito-borne diseases. Specifically, she analyzes heterogeneities in human contact patterns to improve models of respiratory infectious disease dynamics. In addition, she evaluates the entomological and epidemiological effects of mosquito control interventions to inform outbreak preparedness and response.
